RHR Series and other things.

I’ve decided to add a short story to the Rolling Hills Books, this one is going to be Ma and Pops story. I think told in a series of flashbacks through Pop’s eyes. I’m not very far into it yet. I’ve been also working on another book that I’ve rewritten at least 10 times. I also have at least one for full length book for the Rolling Hills stories. This one is to cover Joe’s story. I need to make myself focus on those two before I continue with others. I would love to have a complete series for sale at AAD in Aug. of 2014 though honestly that doesn’t give me much time.

I’m starting school soon so I’m sure homework will take up any extra time I have, which isn’t much. I have so much respect for moms that are stay at home moms. I’ve been doing it just a month and still haven’t gotten a good grove going. We are working on it though.

I do have a new book that I’m submitting to a publishing company that hopefully will like it. My beta readers seemed to enjoy it, the ones that have gotten back to me so far anyway. Well time to get everything in line to submit it to the publishing company.

Deadlines and names *sigh*

I have found I have two big problems when it comes to writing. If I have a deadline I will get a book done. Cupid’s Test… deadline of Feb. 14th, done! Halloween Madness… deadline Oct. 31st, done! Deadline’s really work for me. Only problem… if I make the deadline I can just move it as I need to. So it would be great if someone else would make a deadline for me. I have to finish my second book in the Rolling Hills Ranch series. It’s 75 percent done, and I’ll need to do edit’s. When should I have this done by? I was thinking June. If I tell enough people that the book will be out sometime in June then I’ll have to do it. So make comments let me know if you are looking forward to it so I know that I’m now committed.

My other problem I have is coming up with names for the people in my stories. For some reason I get suck on a letter like J – Jen, Jenny, John, Jo, Jared and can’t seem to get away from it. So what are your favorite names and can I steal them. One of my books is going to be going into space so what are some weird names you like (if it’s really odd try to let me know how to say it too lol) I’m hoping to get lots of names for this so that I can have a variety of names to use for the future.

Reviews and Free Book

Well my free, Handsome Stranger, is about to go back on sale. I’ve had at least 500 downloads on it while it was free, that’s just three days. I’m so excited that I have been able to reach so many people by offering my book for free. This has really opened my eyes to how many people I could reach if I keep at it. When I finally get my next Rolling Hills book done I may do a promotional with the first book. Don’t know when or if I’ll be able to but I’m thinking about it. I know it will be a much better launch than the one I threw together for Cupid’s Test.

Speaking of my newest story Cupid’s Test, I have got three ratings on Goodreads. Two 3 stars and one 5 stars. With a quote of “Easy to read and very fun yet romantic.” ~ Michelle Lafreniere I’m so excited that people like it. It was meant to be a fun short story. It’s a sweet romance, all the ‘business’ is behind the scene, which means no going into detail with this one.

My other books have some detail but I try to make it just a scene or two. You can skip it if you don’t like that kind of thing and don’t miss anything from the storyline. I know some people like that and some don’t.

I love getting reviews and ratings, good or bad. I would love it if they were also on Amazon so that other people could see what they thought of the book. I wish Goodreads and Amazon could be linked but I’ll take it either way. I know it can be annoying to have to go to a lot of different places just to review or rate a book you’ve read. I can’t say that I do it a lot. I can tell you how much we (as in authors) love hearing what readers think and really appreciate it when readers write reviews or rate the books so that other potential readers can see it.

That’s right fokes. Handsome Stranger is now FREE on Amazon. I’ve decided to let you try out my work and see how you like it. All I ask is that after you read it could you please write a review or at least give it however many stars you think it should have. I really need some reviews for my work on Amazon. A lot of people only buy books that have some kind of reviews on it. It sounds weird but it is VERY true. Also if you want you can spread the word to friends. They can download the book as well. While your there check out my new release of Cupid’s Test. Thanks so much for the support!

It’s finally here!

Cupid’s Test is now avaible on Amazon. Please go “like”, buy and leave a review. Thank you so much for everyone that reads this blog and buys the books. It means a lot to me. I wouldn’t want to keep publishing if it wasn’t for all of you. Share the book with friends and family if you enjoy it.

When the Tooth Fairy wants to knock Cupid down a peg she decides to test him to see if he really can make any two people fall in love.

Jay and Lilly are two completely different people but when a snow storm forces them to be in each others company for a week they quickly realize how opposites can attract. After finding out that they are on two different sides of a court case the question now is can they get passed it or will the week they had be their first and last?

Well it has been a busy last few days. I have not gotten to work on my new short story as much as I would like but I’m still hopeful that I will get it up on Amazon by Valentines day. We are working on trying to sell our house and it’s not going as well as we would hoped so I need to make sure it looks good before I’m able to write and most days I work as well so I can get maybe two hours of writing done during the day on Tuesdays. More on Thursday usually because that’s my day off. My schedule has gone back to normal at work YAY!! I may have to work this Thursday which would put a big damper on my getting my book out next week but we shall see. If I do have to work maybe I’ll have to take some time after my son goes to bed and work on typing rather than watching TV with the honey though I love to spend time with him I really want to get this out. I need to make sure that I pay more attention to my writing this year. So far it’s going well but it’s also only the second month of the year. You all know how New Year resolutions work (or don’t work as the case may be).

Well back to more writing for an hour before I have to head off to work. I really hope everyone likes this new one. I’m not putting anything on about it until I know that it will be done and I can release it. Thanks again to everyone for the support and I am very happy with my sales so far on Amazon with my self publishing. As all authors do I wish it were more but I will take what I can get. They have been out for a while now and I haven’t had anything new in a year! I can’t believe it’s been that long. Time to get down to business and start writing! sunflowersunmoon_1
